Cary Park District to offer stake camp
The Cary Park District in conjunction with MB/WARP Skatepark is offering a three-day skate camp for young people age 10 to 18. The skate camp allows every skater to enjoy a positive, challenging learning experience in a safe environment.
Open to all levels, beginners through advanced, all skaters will receive an evaluation to determine their level. The mission of the skate camp is to provide the safest training possible to introduce kids to the sport of skating. A history lesson of skateboarding, skating etiquette, how to maintain the board and tips and tricks will be addressed.
The three-day course will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, July 21-23 at the Lions Park Skate Park in Cary. Registration is $188 for Cary Park District residents and $282 for nonresidents. Participants should bring a lunch and a reusable water bottle each day. Helmets are required and full pads are recommended. This course is taught by MB/WARP Skatepark Staff.
