Cary man airlifted after fall from roof
A Cary man in his early 20s was airlifted to a hospital after falling off a roof Sunday morning and plummeting 12 feet to the ground, authorities said.
Paramedics found him semi-conscious and didn't know whether he landed on the grass or concrete during the incident, which occurred at 4:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Alma Terrace.
As a precautionary measure, a Flight for Life helicopter flew the man from his home to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, said Capt. Dennis Krenz of the Cary Fire Protection District.
"We decided to fly him out just to be safe," Krenz said.
The man's condition was unavailable Sunday. Officials don't know what the man was doing on the roof that time of night.
Police said a report detailing additional information would not be ready until Monday.
