Cary pool opens June 3

The Cary Park District Community Pool will open for the 2008 summer season June 3. The hours of operation on June 3-6 are open swim from noon to 5 p.m. and adult swim from 5 to 6 p.m.

The hours of operation June 7-Aug. 10 are Monday through Friday, open swim noon to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.; adult lap swim. 11:15 a.m., noon and 5:15 to 6 p.m.

On Saturdays, open swim is offered noon to 8 p.m. and adult swim is offered from 9 to 9:45 a.m. On Sundays, open swim is offered noon to 6:30 p.m. and family swim is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Only family groups will be admitted and flotation devices will be allowed during family swim.

Regular summer season pool passes can be purchased at the Community Center. Regular pool pass resident/nonresident rates are: student, age 17 and younger, $42/$63; adult, age 18 and older, $50/$75; family of two, $66/$99, each additional family member $23/$35; senior, age 55 and older, $42/$63; senior family of two, $60/$90.

Anyone entering the pool site during open swim who does not have a season pool pass must pay the daily fee. In order to pay a resident daily fee, patrons may have to show proof of residency in the form of a utility bill, driver's license, tax bill, resident ID card or other identification.

Daily resident/non-resident fees for the 2008 season are: youth, $3/$8; adult, $5/$8; guest with pass holder, $5/$5/ two years and younger free/free. For more information on the Community Pool visit Web site www.carypark.com.
