Motorcyclist killed after crashing into tractor-trailer on I-90 near Hoffman Estates

A Rockford motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 90 in Hoffman Estates Tuesday evening.

The motorcyclist was identified as 28-year-old Mufeed B. Albo Yasen by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

According to the Illinois State Police, the crash happened at about 6:20 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-90 near the Beverly Road overpass.

Albo Yasen was pronounced dead at the scene. All eastbound lanes were closed for several hours.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
