Crafts and bazaars
Crafters sought: Palatine Jaycees are seeking participants for this year's Arts & Crafts Fair/Business & Charity Expo held noon-8 p.m. July 4 and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. July 5 during Hometown Fest at Community Park on Palatine Road and Northwest Highway. The fair has a limited number of booths still available. Exhibitors will be assigned a 12- by 12-foot space on a first-come, first-serve basis. An arts and crafts booth will cost $60 for both days. A business expo booth will cost $150 for both days. A charity expo booth will be free to charitable organizations. Quilt Showcase: 12:30-3:30 p.m. May 28, Friendship Village Bridgegate Atrium, 350 W. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg. Resident artists showcase quilts, along with arts and crafts participants, who created quilts for Project Linus, a nonprofit organization that distributes handcrafted quilts and blankets to children who are seriously ill or traumatized. Art on the Plaza: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. June 14 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. June 15, Plaza del Lago, 1515 Sheridan Road, Wilmette.
