Football

• Registration is being accepted for the Chicago Bears youth football camps, which will be held this summer around the Chicago area.

Bears camps are no-contact day camps for kids ages 6 to 14.

Local camps include: June 16-20 at B.R. Ryall YMCA in Glen Ellyn; June 23-27 at Franklin Middle School in Wheaton; July 7-11 at Heritage YMCA in Naperville; July 14-18 at Indian Boundary YMCA in Downers Grove; and July 21-25 at Elmhurst College.

Soccer

• The Glen Ellyn Raiders soccer club will hold tryouts for U-15 to U-19 girls 5 to 7 p.m. May 17 and 18 at Westfield School, 2S125 Mayfield Lane, Glen Ellyn.

Tryouts will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. June 6 for U-14 girls and June 7 for U-8 through U-13 girls at Westfield School.

U-12 through U-14 boys will have tryouts June 2 at Glen Crest Middle School, Route 53 and Sheehan Avenue, and June 3 for U-8 through U-11 boys.

• The Chicago Fire Juniors Soccer Club has soccer tryouts coming up in the next month.

Tryouts for girls U15-16 will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. for girls U17-18 May 18 at Seven Gables Park. There will be a supplemental tryout for all four age groups from 7:30 to 9 p.m. May 20 at Hubble Middle School in Wheaton.

On June 1, boys and girls U8-9 South and boys and girls U10 South will hold tryouts from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Frontier Park. Boys and girls U11 South will hold tryouts from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Frontier Park.

On June 2, U14 boys and girls will hold tryouts from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Frontier Park.

On June 3, boys and girls U13 will hold tryouts from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Frontier Park. On June 4, U11 North boys and girls will hold tryouts from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Seven Gables Park, and boys and girls U12 will hold tryouts from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Seven Gables Park.

On June 5, boys and girls U8-9 North will hold tryouts from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Seven Gables Park, as will boys and girls U10 North. Supplemental tryouts will be June 8.

On June 9, boys U15-16 will hold tryouts from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Seven Gables Park. One June 10, boys U17-18 will hold tryouts from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Frontier Park. Supplemental tryouts are June 16.

Summer camps

• Driscoll Catholic High School is offering a variety of summer camps for students in grades four through 12. Camps are offered for baseball, basketball, bowling, dance/spirit, golf, physical enhancement, soccer, volleyball, football and wrestling. Tennis

• Benet Academy in Lisle will host three tennis camps in June and July. All three camps will have two sessions, June 9-19 and June 23 to July 3.

The Beginner Camp for children entering second through seventh grades runs from 8 to 8:45 a.m. The cost is $70 per session.

The High School Camp for those entering grades nine to 12 runs from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $150 per session.

The Junior High Camp for those entering sixth through eighth grades runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $150 per session.

• Wheaton North High School's summer tennis camp will be June 16-18 at Wheaton North High School or Northside Park. All camps are coed.

Session for high school ninth-graders beginner/intermediate will run from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.; session for grades 11-12 intermediate/advanced runs from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.; session for grade 10 intermediate runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Cost of each high school camp is $150.

The session for grades five through eighth beginner/intermediate runs from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; session for grades three to five beginner/intermediate runs from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.; session for grades first through third beginner/intermediate runs from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Cost of each grade school and junior high school camp is $110.
