Wrap: Prospect 4, Rolling Meadows 0

Prospect continued its late-season roll on its girls soccer senior night Wednesday against Rolling Meadows.

The Knights (9-4-4, 4-2-4) got 2 goals from Mo O'Keefe and a goal and 2 assists from Becky Santiago to win their fifth straight 4-0 and remain tied for first place in the Mid-Suburban East with Hersey.

"They did a terrific job," said Prospect coach Tom Froats. "They're playing very confidently and we're getting things going in the right direction."

Susie Lello also had a goal and Alex Moxley had an assist. Marietta Smith had 7 saves.

The Knights have 12 points in the MSL Table standings but with just one match left will need some help since Hersey still has three matches to play.

Conant 1, Hoffman 0: Michelle Rawleigh's goal off Lisa Parisi's assist kept Conant (13-2-1, 7-1-1) a point ahead of Fremd in the MSL West going into Friday's showdown in Palatine.

Monica Danek had 3 saves in the Cougars' 10th shutout.

Fremd 2, Palatine 0: Alex Ehr and Elise Katsakis scored first-half goals for Fremd (7-1 MSL West) in the cross-town rivalry victory. Lauren Pusateri and Allison Norenberg shared the shutout in goal.

Hersey 3, Elk Grove 1: Kristen Corley scored twice off Sarah Stoltzner assists and Eileen Zydek had the other goal for Hersey (11-2-4, 5-1-2) in the MSL East. Rachael Sloan had Elk Grove's goal.

Wheeling 1, BG 0: Valerie Lelle's penalty kick gave Wheeling (3-7-1) the MSL East win in overtime.

Barrington 4, Schaumburg 1: Amy Johnson had a goal and an assist for Barrington (12-4-1, 6-2) in the MSL West. Kendra Sanderson scored for Schaumburg.

Boys volleyball

Peter Lauterbach had 4 kills, Dan Aloisio had 6 digs and Ken Ropiak had 3 kills, 3 aces and 2 kills for Conant (18-7, 5-3) in the 25-10, 25-21 MSL West win over Hoffman Estates. Max Martin had 6 kills for Hoffman.

Barrington d. Palatine: Randy Lorenz (11 kills), Chris Michelotti (8 kills) and Dan Frommeyer (7 kills) led Barrington to the 25-17, 25-22 MSL West win over Palatine. Ronny Lampen had 5 blocks and 4 kills for the Pirates.
