Antioch man dies in four-car crash
An Antioch man was killed in a four-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Streamwood that sent two others to the hospital.
Hoffman Estates and Streamwood paramedics were called to the scene on Route 59 between Bode and Schaumburg roads at 3:15 p.m. The crash site lies near the border between their two jurisdictions.
Edward Weber, 49, of Antioch was pronounced dead at the scene.
Weber was driving a Saturn traveling north on Route 59 when his vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and was struck by several southbound vehicles, according to Streamwood Police.
An autopsy conducted Saturday revealed he died of multiple injuries from the crash.
Hoffman Estates paramedics arrived at the scene first and transported two other injured drivers to St. Alexius Medical Center for treatment, police said.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
