Library to host Teen Coffee Night

Teen Coffee Night will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Bartlett Public Library, 800 S. Bartlett Road. Featured will be the poetry of George David Miller. Learn the art of the poetry slam and share with others.

Refreshments will be donated by Starbucks. Due to the remodeling project, this event will be staged in the reference area.

District 211 board to meet at Conant

The Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 board meeting scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday has been moved to the student cafeteria at Conant High School, 700 E. Cougar Trail, Hoffman Estates.

The meetings have been moved from the district's main offices in Palatine as remodeling takes place to the board room and the rest of the McElroy Administration Center.

Spring Into Spring with Shelter Inc.

The Shelter Inc. Auxiliary and Chicago Botanic Gardens invite all gardeners to attend "Spring Into Spring With The Shelter Inc. Auxiliary and the Chicago Botanic Garden," held at 9:30 a.m. Friday.

The demonstration and hands-on workshop will be led by professionals at the Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake-Cook Road, Glencoe. Guests will enjoy a continental breakfast while receiving instruction in the art of gardening. After the workshop, attendees can walk among 385 acres of woods, waterways, 23 formal gardens and three natural areas.

Relay For Life set for Tri-Villages

The Relay For Life of Bartlett, Hanover Park and Streamwood will be held at Community Park in Hanover Park from 6 p.m. June 13 to 6 a.m. June 14.
