ECC students named to 'Who's Who' for school year
Sixty-seven Elgin Community College students have been inducted into the "Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges for 2007-2008."
"Who's Who Among Students" exists as one of the nation's most highly regarded and long-standing honors programs and national recognition by the organization marks a high point of scholastic achievement.
Selections to "Who's Who Among Students" are made each fall by individual schools. Campus nominating committees are composed of representatives from the school's faculty, administration and student body.
Nominees also are those who enhance the positive image of American youth through their contributions to community and school.
Other selection criteria include grade point average, participation and leadership within school organizations and extracurricular activities, community involvement, future leadership ability and/or potential. Colleges also may have other requirements that they take into consideration.
