Lisle police looking for gas station robber
Lisle police are searching for a man who struggled with a gas station clerk for the contents of the cash register early Wednesday.
According to police, the male suspect entered the Speedway gas station, 550 Ogden Ave., at 5:58 a.m. and attempted to purchase merchandise from the store.
When the store clerk opened the cash register, the suspect went behind the counter and struggled with the clerk over the contents of the register.
The suspect obtained a small amount of currency from the register and left the store through the front entrance. He did not display a weapon.
The suspect was described as approximately 6 feet, 1 inch tall and 230 pounds. He had braided hair and wore a black shirt, black pants, and black shoes.
Witnesses say he left the gas station in a silver four-door Mazda before driving east Ogden Avenue.
