Preschool plans parent open house
St. Pius X School's preschool night will be at 7 p.m. today in the St. Pius Social Center, 601 S. Westmore Road, Lombard.
The hourlong session for parents will include a chance to meet faculty and staff, learn about the curriculum and get formation about tuition.

Ardmore School seeking alumni
Ardmore Elementary School is seeking District 45 alumni to help celebrate the district's 150th anniversary.
Each Ardmore classroom plans to interview a former student at 9 a.m. April 18 at the school, 225 S. Harvard Ave., Villa Park. Interviews will last about 15 minutes.

Villa Park now selling pool passes
Villa Park Recreation is selling passes for Jefferson and Lufkin pools at the Iowa Community Center, 338 N. Iowa Ave.; the Community Recreation Building, 320 E. Wildwood; and on its Web site, www.vprd.org.
The cost is $25 for residents until May 10 and $29 after. New and replacement passes require a photo that must be taken at the Iowa Community Center.
Jefferson Pool opens May 31, and Lufkin Pool opens June 4. For details, call (630) 834-8970.
Historical society expands tours
The Lombard Historical Society has expanded programming for school groups, Scout troops and other organizations.
Programs focusing on both U.S. history and Lombard's own history are available days and evenings throughout the week at the Victorian Cottage Museum, 23 W. Maple St. and the Sheldon Peck Homestead, 355 E. Parkside.
Groups that visit the Peck Homestead may choose from programs that include hands-on lessons about how pioneers washed clothes, spun wool and made necessities such as rope, soap, butter and candles, or take topical tours, such as "The Underground Railroad" and "Illinois in the 1850s."
At the museum, activities include crafts projects, Victorian etiquette lessons, 19th century games and more.
