Briefs: About that Commodore 64

The West Dundee public works department will hold its first Electronics Recycling Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at its facility at 900 Angle Tarn. Residents can drop off unwanted televisions, DVD players, stereos, computers and peripherals, microwaves and other small electronics. Major household appliances will not be accepted.

Spring Swing in Hampshire

Hampshire is the place for jazz and wine this weekend. The St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School is holding its Spring Swing from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday. You'll be able to taste more than 100 wines from around the world from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and listen to W. Delisfort's Jazz Quintet for the rest of the night. The Beth Fowler School of Dance will offer swing lessons. You must be 21 or older to attend. Tickets are $25 per person and $20 for seniors. Local art on display

The Community Art Gallery in Lake in the Hills will be displaying the work of local artists during a pair of openings from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
