Twenty-one teams from Illinois competed after qualifying with a minimum 34.0 score. Mauk won first place All-Around with a score of 37.475, taking first on beam with a 9.8, second on floor, 9.425; second on vault, 9.425; and ninth on uneven bars, 8.825. BIG placed first in Super Team under the coaching of Ben Hardy, Julie Stepanchenko, Jess Herbick and Drew Tsokatos Jr.

Last year, two weeks before the Level 5 state meet, Mauk broke a bone in her foot while healing a fractured ankle after she had swept first place wins in several events as well as all-around titles during the season.

Under the guidance and care of her orthopedic physician, physical therapist and coaches, she competed and earned second place as the all-around, missing first place by only .025. After missing the first half of the Level 6 season, Mauk returned to competition in January and qualified for state at her first meet.

She went on to win every all-around the remainder of the season. She will now advance to Level 7.
