Church thanks outdoor helpers
First Congregational Church United Church of Christ, Crystal Lake, wants to thank the church's "OAT Team" (Outdoor Accessibility Team). The team has been on duty every Sunday and at several special events during this unusually cold and wet winter. The church is proud and thankful to have them.
They have been standing outside in some terribly wet weather with umbrellas to escort people in and out of church. They give directions, help church goers in and out of their cars when needed and hold the door so members and visitors can scurry in during the extreme cold.
The team includes Bruce Barry, Art Gooding, Bill Patterson, Bob Bosman, Brian Earl, Brian Markison, Clyde Wakefield, Dan Ryerson, Dave Eversman, Dorothy Cooker, Laura and Jim Gaszynski, John Malone, Larry Dagley, Mike Plant, Mike Rulf, Pete Helstrom, Phil Wolfe, Sue and Gary Riegler, Tom and Carol Seeman, Rob McCutcheon, chairman.
