Play volleyball at fundraiser for Marian student

A volleyball fundraiser is being held for William Schlau Jr., one of four Marian students involved in a car accident on Oct. 26, 2007.

The event will be held on April 5 at the Sky High Athletic Center, 220 Exchange Drive, Suite F, Crystal Lake.

The "Our Prayers Go Sky High for William" fundraiser is being coordinated by William's cousins, Andrew, Alex and Nicole Schuh of Cary to raise money for medical expenses.

Junior high, high school and adults are invited to register. Registration is $25 per person and includes a T-shirt. Teams should be between six and 10 players.

The tournament will begin at 10 a.m. with the junior high (6th-8th) division. The high school and adult divisions will follow. Captains will be notified in advance with their check-in time.

Depending on the number of teams, the tournament will be either round robin or double elimination. Each team will be guaranteed to play at least two matches. Trophies will be awarded.

Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. Players under age 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent.
