Spiritual leader will talk about meditation
Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj returns to the Chicago area after tours of Dubai and North and South India. He will be the featured speaker with "Spiritual Elevation through Meditation" at 2:30 p.m. March 22 at the Wyndham Lisle Hotel, 3000 Warrenville Road, Lisle.
As head of Science of Spirituality, an international not-for-profit, multi-faith spiritual organization based in Naperville, he offers talks and seminars on meditation and spirituality. He is actively committed to human unity and interfaith harmony, and has been honored by religious leaders and heads of state worldwide.
He was requested by the United States Coast Guard Academy to address its graduating class on the role of moral and spiritual principles in leadership.
Jonathan Kruger, local spokesman for the organization, said people will have an opportunity to hear and experience the peace and joy found in meditation. All programs are free. Kruger added, hundreds of people from all over the country and all over world will be flying in for the program Easter weekend. Because so many languages are represented, simultaneous translation of his talks will be available.
Rajinder is also a scientist with a long career at a Chicago research lab and a graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology, which honored him with a distinguished alumni award for his achievements in areas of spirituality, human unity, peace and children's education. He has received tributes from the Michigan, New York and New Jersey state legislatures for his global effort to seek unity at the level of the soul and transcend racial, cultural, national, religious and economic differences.
