March is Student Art Month in Roselle.

Artwork by students from Spring Hills Elementary, Erickson Elementary, St. Walter School and Medinah Christian School will be on display through March in the Youth Services Department at the Roselle Public Library, 40 S. Park St., Roselle.

Roselle is hosting Fish Fry Fridays

The Sons of The American Legion Northwest DuPage Squadron 1084 is hosting all-you-can-eat Friday Night Fish Fry events from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 5 to 8 p.m. March 21 at the legion, 344 E. Maple Ave., Roselle.

The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children and free for children ages 5 and younger. All proceeds will benefit the programs of The Sons of The American Legion.

Park district has Lenten fish special

The Wood Dale Park District will host its annual Lenten Fish Fry from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and March 21 at Salt Creek Golf Club, 701 W. Thorndale Ave., Wood Dale.

The cost is $11.95 for adults, $10.95 for seniors, $6.95 for children ages 4 to 10 and free for kids younger than 4.

Kids can play chess at Roselle library

The Roselle Public Library Youth Chess Club, for children ages 7 to 17, meets from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday at the library, 40 S. Park St., Roselle. Elmhurst artists honor KC Barnes

The Elmhurst Artists' Guild will hold a reception to honor artist KC Barnes from 7 to 9 p.m. March 28 at the Elmhurst Art Museum, 150 Cottage Hill Ave. Admission is free.

Barnes' work is displayed in many collections, including those at the White House, the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture's office and a permanent exhibit at the Illinois State Museum.

Regular museum admission costs $4, $3 for seniors, $2 for students and free for children ages 11 and younger.

Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays; and 1 to 4 p.m. Fridays and Sundays.

Czech-Slovak group meets in suburbs

The Czech-Slovak American Genealogy Society Illinois will meet at 1:30 p.m. Saturdays, March 29, May 17, Aug. 16 and Oct. 18, at First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange, 150 S. Ashland Ave., LaGrange.
