Register today for swim program
Open registration for the District 211 Swim Team Feeder Program will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today for swimming, water polo and diving at the Palatine High School pool, 1111 N. Rohlwing Road. The program is open to students living within the Palatine and Fremd High School boundaries who are entering or in fifth- to eighth-grade. Swimmers in third and fourth grade should call the numbers below for information. Practices run until the last week of July, and are held at Palatine High School and Plum Grove Pool Monday through Saturday based on the assigned group. Talk to focus on tax reform Tuesday
Hanover Township Democrats and Independents invite the public to their next open meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Park Place Family Recreation Center, 550 S. Park Blvd., Streamwood. Ralph Martire, executive director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability, will discuss what needs to be done to reduce the tax burden on homeowners in the state of Illinois, as well as current Illinois property tax and education funding reform proposals. Mayer students to dance Tuesday
