Winter clothing discounted at shop

The Mission Resale Shop is in Algonquin, one block west of Route 31 at 215 Washington St. and is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. but will be closed Easter weekend.

All winter clothing is reduced 50 percent.

Seasonal donations are accepted only on Friday or Saturday when the shop is open. Call (847) 658-9105 or 847-658-4353 with any questions.

Bowl for Kids' Sake is set for Sunday

Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County's Bowl for Kids' Sake will be held Sunday at Westlane Family Bowling Center in Crystal Lake.

St. John's Church holds blood drive

Heartland Blood Center will set up its annual St. John's Blood Drive in the mezzanine of St. John's Lutheran Church from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday. (This is a time change.)

To facilitate this effort, St. John's would like to pre-schedule donors in advance. If you would like to donate or have questions, call Sue at (847) 658-6857. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. John's is at 300 Jefferson St. in downtown Algonquin, one block west of Route 31.
