Briefs: Jury duty leads to arrest
An Addison woman remained in jail Wednesday on a $50,000 bond after authorities said she threatened to blow up the DuPage County courthouse in Wheaton because she was upset about being summonsed for jury duty. Prosecutors charged Toby Owhoka, 48, of 904 College Blvd., with felony disorderly conduct. Sheriff's officials said Owhoka called the jury commission about 3 p.m. Tuesday and made several threats to blow up the courthouse. Deputies searched the building, but no explosives were found.
