Class 3A Antioch sectional semifinal

No. 6 Guerin (16-13) vs. No. 2 Grayslake Central (22-6)

7:30 p.m. today

Advancement: Winner plays for the sectional championship against North Chicago, an 82-77 winner Tuesday against Senn, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Antioch.

Getting to Antioch: Guerin def. No. 11 Chicago Uplift, 91-43 and No. 3 Lakes, 72-64 to win the Guerin regional; Grayslake Central def. No. 18 CICS-Northtown Academy, 72-34 and No. 7 Fenton, 58-42 to win the Fenton regional.

Postseason history: The last time Guerin won a regional title was in 2004-05. Grayslake Central's last regional title came during the 2005-06 season. The Rams have won four regionals in their history (also in 1999-2000, 1998-99, 1993-94), but have never won a sectional title.
