The Welcome Club of the Fox Valley meets at 7 p.m. on today at Fox Valley Presbyterian Church, 227 East Side Drive, in Geneva, for their general meeting and a program with guest speaker attorney Patricia L. Ward.
In 1973, Ward earned her law degree from Northwestern University School of Law. She specializes in estate planning, and estate and trust administration in Kane and DuPage counties. Her private practice is in West Chicago, where she has been with the firm for 25 years, nine of which have been as a solo practitioner.

Audubon Society: The Kane County Chapter of the Audubon Society meets for programs and activities.
On Saturday, a bird walk will be held at 8 a.m. at SEBA Park, South Elgin. See water fowl and early migrants. Meet in the parking lot south of the dam and east of Route 31. For information, call Jane McMillan at (847) 622-3216.
On March 12 at 7 p.m., the meeting night will be at 7 p.m. at the barn at Park Farm Park at Peck and Kaneville roads, about one mile west of Randall Road in Geneva. On March 22, bird walk will be held at 8 a.m. at Crabtree Nature Center, 3 Stover Road, Barrington, See water fowl and winter holdouts. Go north on Route 59 to Route 72, go east on Route 72 less than a mile to Palatine Road, and go a half-mile to preserve entrance on the left. Meet in the main parking lot. Fox Valley Newcomers and Neighbors: Fox Valley Newcomers and Neighbors are having their March luncheon at 11:30 a.m. March 12, hosted by the Urban Grille, 524 W. State St., Geneva.
The guest speaker for this event is Elizabeth Fuchs, a certified professional organizer and owner of "Organized to Perfection." Fuchs will explain her stress-free organization process that will bring calm back into your life.
The cost for this special event is $19.95. The deadline for reservations is March 12.

Elburn Seniors: Do you have cabin fever? Join the Elburn Seniors for a trip to the Meskwaki Casino in Tama, Iowa on April 10-11. The cost of $95 includes double occupancy, one night at a hotel, bus fare, a $40 refund from the casino and a $6 food credit. The bus leaves from Lions Park in Elburn at 8 a.m. April 10 and returns at approximately 7 p.m. April 11.
The seniors are also planning a day trip to the Rhythm City Casino in Davenport, Iowa on March 11. The cost is $28 and includes bus fare, a buffet lunch and $10 on your Rhythm City card. The bus leaves Lions Park in Elburn at 8 a.m. and returns at approximately 6 p.m.

St. Charles Mothers' Club: The St. Charles Mothers' Club is having its inaugural Family Fest, Spring Beach Party from 1 to 4 p.m. April 6 at the St. Charles Park District's Gym. They are looking for sponsors.
The event will include a band, children's activities, a raffle, and food. Sponsors may make monetary donations for marketing exposure on pre-event promotional fliers and T-shirts provided at the event or donate items for the raffle. The event will be an opportunity to locally publicize your company to the hundreds of expected attendees at the venue and to many more through the promotional flier. Monetary sponsorship opportunities range $100 and $1,500. Sponsors are also welcome to buy a table at the event for $100.
Proceeds from the event will be used to support organizations geared toward helping women and children in the Fox Valley. Past recipients have included community programs such as the Sherry Costello Memorial Scholarship Fund which awards scholarships to mothers who are continuing their education to better their lives and the Breakfast Bar Program that provides breakfast bars to St. Charles Unit District 303 elementary schools for children who arrive at school having no breakfast. Pottawatomie Garden Club: The Pottawatomie Garden Club of St. Charles presents "The Grand Gardens of the Fox" garden walk on June 28.
The tour of six St. Charles gardens helps the Garden Club celebrate their 80th year of commitment to the community's beautification. Proceeds also help fund environmental college scholarships. For details, visit www.pottagardenclub.org.

Fox Valley Clutter Club: The new, free discussion group is being offered by Batavia professional organizer, Barb Gould for people seeking solutions to their clutter problems.
Gould, who owns Bright Start Organizing, will lead sessions from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 25 at the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave.
She will offer tips as well as suggest the best ways to donate unwanted belongings.

Batavia chapter of Bachelor 'N' Bachelorettes Square Dancing Club is dancing in St. Charles every second and fourth Friday from 8 to 10:30 p.m. at the Free Methodist Church, Third and Walnut streets.

The Elburn Seniors are planning to travel to Rhythm City in Davenport, Iowa, on March 11.
The bus will leave Lions Park, 500 Filmore St. in Elburn about 8 a.m. and return about 6 p.m. Cost is $28, which includes lunch and the bus transportation.
