Defenders to hold meeting

The Defenders annual meeting and potluck dinner is scheduled from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 404 N. Green St., McHenry

Defenders can learn first hand what issues, projects and activities the staff, board and committees have worked on in the last year. Members also will elect of the board of directors who set policy and strategic direction for the group.

Social time begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the potluck dinner at 6 p.m. Bring a dish to pass and your own table service including plates, cups eating utensils, etc. Beverages will be provided.

At 7 p.m., the State of the Organization and election of board members will be held. The awards ceremony is at 7:30 p.m. and the program begins at 8 p.m.

The speakers will be Keith Johnson and Rich Brook from the Woodstock Farmers Market.
