Columbia College in Crystal Lake has relocated to Route 31
In order to improve accessibility and increase visibility, Columbia College-Crystal Lake has relocated just two blocks north of the Route 31 and Route 176 intersection. The new campus address is 446 N. Route 31. The phone number will remain (815) 477-5440.
"Moving enables us to give our adult students a more comfortable learning environment, which will help us continue providing the quality of education for which Columbia College is known," said campus director Melissa Stutz.
The January session, which began on the campus of McHenry County College, will continue at the new location this week. And, registration for the session that begins March 24 also begins today.
Columbia College, which was founded in Missouri in 1851 as Christian Female College, was the first women's college west of the Mississippi River to be chartered by a state legislature. The college changed its name to Columbia College in 1970 when it became coeducational.
Columbia College, a private institution, serves 25,000 working adults, including military service members, worldwide.
