MCC to offer workshops on OSHA standards
Discover what it takes to keep construction sites safe and workers knowledgeable about Occupational Safety and Health Administration construction standards with several OSHA Construction Safety workshops at McHenry County College's University Center, 100 S. Main St., Crystal Lake.
Registration is under way for the OSHA Construction Card workshop scheduled for Feb. 6 and 7, which will be taught by Harry Zoellick. This two-day workshop fulfills the 10 hours of instruction required for participants to receive the OSHA card for construction safety. Cost is $200.
Other upcoming workshop topics include: Feb. 28, "Confined Spaces" relating to general industry and construction. Cost is $79. March 13, "Trenching and Underground" covers ways to prevent accidents and appropriate use of equipment and soil analysis. Cost is $89.
