The case to elect Seals to Congress

I live in the 10th Congressional District. We will have a highly contested election for congressman.

The Iraq War was based on faulty data that alienated our allies and strengthened our enemies. Rep. Mark Kirk's expertise was supposed to be military intelligence, yet he was just as misled by the skewed data as others.

Both Kirk and Dan Seals' primary opponent have stated their policy in the Middle East would be based on the total support of a foreign nation. Mr. Kirk sneeringly stated in the debate two years ago that "Seals will work for peace."

What's wrong with working for peace? Ben Franklin once said, "There is no good war and no bad peace." I want a congressman who would work for peace and the best interest of America.

We are headed for bad economic times. Since 2000, the Bush/Kirk era, the dollar has fallen 30 percent to 60 percent against most foreign currencies, the deficit has increased from $5.6 trillion to $9.2 trillion (64 percent increase) and treasury bonds owned by foreign governments have increased from 19 percent to 52 percent.

Mr. Greenspan has said that those who have led us into this should not be re-elected.

Dan Seals has experience both in Washington and in the private sector in the field of economics. Our greatest threat economically (in my opinion) is from Asia. Dan Seals has studied Asian culture, has lived in Asia, and has a close personal adviser (his wife) who is from Asia.

We need Dan Seals' economic expertise for America to prosper. Dan Seals will take American interest as a priority. We need a leader not a follower. We need Dan Seals as our next congressman.
