Harper hosts Tech Night Wednesday

Harper College will host its Tech Night starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Harper Professional Center, 650 E. Higgins Road, Suite 9 South, Schaumburg. Prospect Players perform this month

The Prospect Players will premiere the original musical comedy/revue "A Run-Through for Angels" at 8 p.m. Jan. 18, 19, 25 and 26 at Unity Northwest Church, 259 E. Central Road, Des Plaines. Learn how to raise responsible kids

MaineStay's "Parenting with Love and Logic," a series of seven sessions on raising responsible kids, will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 15 to Feb. 26 at Maine Township Town Hall Building at 1700 Ballard Road in Park Ridge. Course examines education reform

Gain insight into education reform in a new course offered by the Emeritus Program at Oakton Community College. The No Child Left Behind Law: What's at Stake and Why You Should Care is designed to clarify the education legislation passed by Congress in 2002. Participants will review math and reading test questions to determine the status of Illinois grade schools. Three-week course meets from 10 to 11:30 a.m. starting Monday, at Oakton's Skokie campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave. Course fee is $40.
