Edward Rafalski was named vice president of marketing, to oversee all marketing and communications for the Alexian Brothers Hospital Network, a subsidiary of Alexian Brothers Health System, Arlington Heights. Rafalski previously served as vice president of planning, marketing and public relations for the Sinai Health System in Chicago.
The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors honored Country Insurance & Financial Services agent Peter Minus of Bartlett with its National Multiline Sales Award and National Sales Achievement Award. Minus serves customers from his office in Wheaton.
Joel Ashman was appointed a vice president at Fifth Third Bancorp. Ashman, who joined Fifth Third Bank in 1999, serves as a fixed income trader for Fifth Third Securities.

Palatine resident David A. Prichard was promoted to the newly created position of vice president, investor relations and corporate communications with Westchester-based Corn Products International Inc., a provider of agriculturally derived ingredients to diversified industries. Prichard, who has more than 20 years of investor relations and corporate communications experience, joined the company in 2005.
Yanni Vassilopoulos was appointed vice president and regional manager of Fifth Third Bank's Bank Mart region financial centers, located within Ultra Foods grocery stores in Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Vassilopoulos, a 14-year veteran of the banking industry, is also a member of the Hellenic American Academy.
Lynn E. Reich, executive vice president with Rosemont-based Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler Inc.'s industrial services group was elected national vice president of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. Reich will serve a one-year term and in late 2008 assume the role of president-elect and serve as president in 2009.
