The briefs
If it snows, watch where you park
Mount Prospect police department reminds residents that they must wait 24 hours before parking on village streets after a 2-inch snowfall. Snowplow drivers are required to clean their area completely before ending their shift. If cars are parked at the curbs, the driver must return to plow those areas, at an added expense to the village. The police department has not been ticketing those cars, but snowplow drivers have been instructed to call officers when they find cars parked on the streets, and the officers will issue tickets. The tickets cost $20 and the fee goes up to $30 after 10 days.
