As white as snow

The Garfield Park Conservatory celebrates its upcoming 100th anniversary with the "Let It Snow, Let It Grow" Flower Show. More than 75 varieties of predominantly white plants are on display, including poinsettias, begonias and geraniums. Also don't miss the fir trees trimmed with holiday lights. All aboard!

Today is the final free admission Tuesday for the Wonderland Express train exhibit at the Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake-Cook Road, Glencoe. In a 10,000-square-foot horticultural exhibit, garden-scale trains wind their way over bridges, past waterfalls and by more than 80 miniature versions of Chicago's favorite landmarks. 'Beauty and the Beast'

Kidz Kabaret performs Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" at 7 p.m. at The Comedy Shrine, 22 E. Chicago Ave., above Bar Louie, Naperville. This stage adaptation of Disney's 1991 animated film tells of a bookworm beauty who becomes mixed up with a beast. Tickets cost $6-$10. (630) 355-9212.
