Judson softball signs Lukasek
Adding her second signee in a week for the Judson University softball team, head coach Becky Bruns has announced that catcher Ali Lukasek has signed to play her collegiate career for the Eagles. Lukasek is from Plainfield Central High School.
Lukasek was the captain of her freshman and sophomore team and is a part of the Wildcat Athletic Leadership Club. She has also played volleyball and is a member of the honor roll.
Lukasek joins Virginia McAndrews, a pitcher/first baseman from Wheaton Warrenville South, as part of a new class that will begin play at Judson in the fall of 2008.
Men's basketball
Robinson leads NCCAA: In the first statistics report released by the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association for men's basketball, Judson University has the top scorer in the nation. Junior DeWayne Robinson leads the nation with an average of 22.7 points per game.
Robinson, who has scored more than 20 points in seven of the nine games, scored a season-high 30 points vs. Ashford University in the second game of the season.
Judson is currently 5-4 on the year and has won 5 of its last 7 games. In the NCCAA national poll, the Eagles are currently ranked No. 17.
