Rational USA, Schaumburg, the creator of the SelfCooking Center, appointed Paul Ziemann of McHenry head of customer service. Ziemann, who will manage the inside sales team and have primary inventory control responsibility, previously served as a client manager in the benefits center of Hewitt Associates, Lincolnshire.
Leaders Bank, Oak Brook, appointed Carter Huhta banking center president for its Hoffman Estates location, which is scheduled to open this month. Huhta, who has 23 years of diverse lending experience in commercial and real estate lending, will be responsible for opening, managing and building business for the bank's first branch location.
The Academy of General Dentistry, Chicago, appointed Cathy Kraus, organizational marketing director, responsible for the overall planning and execution of marketing activities. Kraus previously served as the senior specialist in the department of communications at the American Osteopathic Association. Additionally, Jill Paterimos was appointed coordinator, circulation, responsible for various business aspects of the academy's official publications including circulation and subscription management. Paterimos previously worked as the circulation manager for Schofield Media.
Buffalo Grove resident Scott Brueggeman was appointed chief marketing officer of OptionsHouse Inc., an online retail and institutional brokerage firm in Chicago. A former vice president of marketing with CareerBuilder.com, Brueggeman was most recently a senior vice president with Socrates Media, Chicago. He also serves on the board of governors for Opportunity International.
With 17 years of experience in the document management solutions industry, Dan Tuskey of Naperville joined Des Plaines Office Equipment, Elk Grove Village, as a sales manager. Tuskey will be responsible for the company's direct sales team in suburban Chicago.
Ryan H. Shpritz was named a principal of Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit, a Buffalo Grove-based law firm, effective January 2008. Shpritz joined the firm in 2001, and concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate and corporate law as they relate to condominium, townhomes and community associations.
Carrie Matlock, has been designated a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional by the United States Green Building Council. Woodstock resident Dr. Deborah Patton will retire from McHenry County College after 28 years of service that entailed leadership roles in student affairs, academic affairs and the office of the president. Patton joined McHenry County College in 1979, and for the last three years has served as executive assistant to the president for organizational effectiveness. She holds a bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University and both a master's and doctorate of education degrees from Northern Illinois University.
