Round Lake girls stay unbeaten in 65-49 win
Round Lake's girls basketball team kept its perfect record intact Tuesday night.
Labrenthia Murdock scored 17 points, Jazzamin Rivers added 16 and Ashley Miller had 10 to lead the Panthers to a 65-49 win over North Chicago in a North Suburban Prairie Division opener.
Amber Phillips contributed 9 points for Round Lake (6-0), which led 24-12 after one quarter and 45-23 at halftime.
Stevenson 52, Z-B 49: Claire Moller scored 16 points and Caitlin Morrissey added 14 for the Patriots in the North Suburban Lake Division opener.
Kayla Fisher chipped in 8 points for Stevenson (3-2).
Eastern Michigan-bound Brittany Simmons led Zion-Benton with 15 points.
Wauconda 59, VH 54: The Bulldogs won the North Suburban Prairie Division opener, as Lauren Mead scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures.
Wauconda (2-1) also received 13 points from Courtney Kimes, 12 from Katie LePage and 10 from Kate Martino.
Mallory Feece led Vernon Hills with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. Alana Coy added 10 points, and Taryn Abbassian had 8 points and 6 rebounds.
Grant 60, Antioch 26: The Bulldogs had balanced scoring, as they cruised in their North Suburban Prairie Division opener.
Tori Ziegler scored a game-high 12 points, while Heather Ruetsche had 11, and Autumn Gaylor and Jamie Swanson 10 apiece.
Grant was up 29-6 after one quarter.
Andi Potkonjak scored 10 points for Antioch (1-4).
LF 52, Libertyville 46: Jean Rebarchak had 15 points to lead Lake Forest in the North Suburban Lake Division opener.
Libertyville's Dana Eriksen hit five 3-pointers and led all scorers with 16 points.
