No one injured in Carol Stream house fire

Carol Stream firefighters put out a fire Saturday at a single-family home at 795 Tonto Court.

Fire Lt. Joe Gilles said no one was hurt in the fire, although he added that the residents were unable to return to the home.

The fire, which occurred around 2:30 p.m., is still under investigation.

Carol Stream was assisted by the Winfield and Bloomingdale departments. Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour and a half, Gilles said.

Information on the amount of damage was unavailable, but Gilles said the home is repairable.
