"Preps with Pros"

Seven high schools from the Daily Herald circulation area will be featured among the 12 varsity games that will be played at the United Center before Bulls contests this season.

The Bulls' "Preps with Pros" program allows high schools to purchase Bulls tickets at a discount and resell them at face value for fundraising. The purchased tickets serve as admission to the schools' afternoon game and the Bulls' home contest on that date.

The 2007-08 "Preps with Pros" schedule is as follows (Bulls opponent in parenthesis):

Local teams

• Dec. 11: Aurora Christian boys vs. Wheaton Academy at 3 p.m. (Seattle).

• Dec. 22: Carmel boys vs. Vernon Hills at 2 p.m. (Houston).

• Dec. 28: Burlington Central boys vs. Oregon at 3 p.m. (Milwaukee).

• Jan. 27: Lakes Community boys vs. Mundelein, game follows Bulls game at noon (Phoenix).

Other high school teams

• Jan. 3: Tinley Park girls vs. Richards at 2 p.m. (Portland).

• Jan. 5: Fieldcrest girls vs. Spring Valley Hall at 12:30 p.m., with Lincoln Way Central boys vs. Lincoln Way East at 2:30 p.m. (Sacramento).

• Jan. 18: Illiana girls vs. Chicago Christian at 2 p.m. with Illiana boys vs. Chicago Christian at 4 p.m. (Golden State).

• Jan. 25: Schurz boys vs. Roberto Clemente at 2:30 p.m. (Charlotte)

• Jan. 29: Romeoville boys vs. Oswego at 2:30 p.m. (Minnesota).

• Feb. 22: Plainfield Central boys vs. Oswego East at 2 p.m. (Denver).
