Dancers to perform holiday classic in Barrington
Fisher Nut will present the Barrington Youth Dance Ensemble's 13th annual production of "The Nutcracker," taking place at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St., Barrington. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Nov. 30, 2 and 7 p.m. Dec. 1, and 2 p.m. Dec. 2.
This year's cast will feature BYDE company dancers and over 100 talented children and adults from the greater Barrington area. Joining the cast are noted professional guest artists from around the world, including Guillermo Leyva, formerly of the Joffrey Ballet; Melanie Damiano, Monique Haley, Ricky Ruiz, Wade Schaaf and Jessica Wolfrum of River North Dance Chicago; Allen Desterhaft, noted Chicago ballroom dancer, and introducing acclaimed international dancer Hiroko Sakakibara, currently with Ballet Gamonet.
The Barrington Youth Dance Ensemble is supported by the following foundations and corporations: Fisher Nut, The Richard A. Tickets are $25, $22 for children, students, and seniors and $28 for preferred seating. All tickets are $25 at the door. Group rates are available for organizations of 10 or more.
