Fall concert to entertain at MCC

The McHenry County College Department of Music will present a fall concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the college's conference center.

The concert will feature performances by several of the student ensembles. Some of the groups and their selections include:

MCC Concert Band directed by Thomas Takayama with perform selections of "Eternal Father," "Strong to Save" and "Manatee Lyric Overture;" MCC Choir directed by Steve Szalaj with selections of "Now I Walk in Beauty and I Am in Need of Music."

MCC Chamber Ensembles directed by Thomas Takayama will perform selections from the Clarinet Trio and the Flute and Guitar Duo.

MCC Jazz Combo directed by Thomas Takayama will perform selections from "Four" and "Oliloquy Valley;" MCC Jazz Ensemble directed by Michael Bazan with selections of "Song for my Father" and "Stolen Moments."

The concert is free and open to the public. The college is at 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake.
