Library to host its reading night

Learn the history of the ham radio
The York Radio Club will meet at 8 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Elmhurst Fire Department Training Facility, 910 N. Addison Ave.
The program will include a photo presentation about the history of the ham radio. The club also offers testing for all amateur radio licenses before each meeting at 7 p.m.

Graue Mill to host artisan boutique
Christmas at the Mill, a fine artisan boutique, will be Nov. 16-18 at Graue Mill and Museum, 3800 S. York Road, Oak Brook.
The preview night, with a wine and cheese reception, will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday. Remaining hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Local artists will sell unique, handmade items such as jewelry, knitted garments, pottery and holiday ornaments.

Light the tree in Oakbrook Terrace
The city of Oakbrook Terrace's annual tree-lighting and holiday party will be Dec. 1 at Fik Point, Patton Avenue and 16th Street and at Stella May Swartz Elementary School, 17W160 16th St.
At 5 p.m., Santa will drive around the city in a fire truck, and at 6 p.m. he'll assist Mayor Tom Mazaika to light the trees at Fik Point.
Entertainment by Dave Rudolph and a party for kids ages 12 and younger start at 6:15 p.m. at Swartz School. All children registered for the party by Nov. 19 will receive a goody-filled stocking.
The party is free for Oakbrook Terrace residents, $5 for others. The tree-lighting ceremony is free.

Get tips on coping with the holidays
Coping with the Holidays will be presented from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Center for Health, 1200 S. York Road, Elmhurst.
