Stevenson vs. Wildcats: The Stevenson High School JV Patriots took their 2-0 HIT conference record to Romeoville Oct. 10 to play the Neuqua Valley Wildcats. In spite of the Patriots outshooting Neuqua Valley 40 to 22, the Wildcats, with outstanding goaltending, snuffed out the undefeated Patriots record by a 3-1 score.

The game was decided in the first five minutes. After Stevenson held the puck in the offensive zone for the first minute of play, Neuqua Valley lofted the puck to Stevenson's blue line and bounced around until the Wildcat forward tipped it into the net. Neuqua Valley scored again four minutes later for a 2-0 score.

From that point, Stevenson dominated using its speed and passing ability to constantly pepper the Neuqua Valley net, but only Kollin Fairbanks scored and Neuqua Valley managed to hang on for a 3-1 victory.
