Softball

U-10 Illinois Thunder: The Thunder took first place in the AFA national qualifier tournament Oct. 21.

The Thunder went 5-0 at the tournament, outscoring its opponents by a combined 54-3. The Thunder capped its dominant run with a 15-0 win over the Mokena Blue Wave in the championship game.

Members of the team are Jessica Johnson, Marianna Colucci, Stephanie Campos, Elisabeth Brown, Jessica Conenna, Rachel Fenn, Alexandria Disilvio, Claire Dwyer, Christina Bryers, Alyssa Buddle, Renee Winget, Hannah Kolb and Katie Kolb.

The girls represent the towns of Addison, Bloomingdale, Bartlett and Carol Stream.
