Moms raising funds with raffle for Turning Point
The Cary Mom's Group, a club consisting of 72 moms, is holding a raffle to raise money for Turning Point, McHenry County's advocate for victims of domestic violence.
The Mom's Group, which was established in April 2006, will be selling tickets for the raffle through Nov. 4.
Turning Point has served the residents of McHenry County for more than 26 years with individual and group counseling, legal and non-legal advocacy and emergency shelter for victims of Domestic Violence.
Grand prize is an evening out package including a deluxe limousine from Exotic Coach Limo which will take the winner and a guest for dinner for two at Melting Pot in Arlington Heights. This package is valued at more than $1,000. First prize is a gift basket from Tastefully Simple and Southern Living at Home which is valued at more than $130. Second prize is a gift assortment from True Value Company valued at $95.
Proceeds from the raffle will be split between Turning Point and The Cary Mom's Group. Raffle tickets at $5 each or five for $20, can be purchased through the Web site www.CaryMomsGroup.com/Raflle.
