Movers and Shakers - Cook County

With 24 years of experience in the transportation industry, Hanover Park resident Peter DeCore joined New England Motor Freight as an account executive for the Chicago area terminal in Elk Grove Village. DeCore, who served in the National Guard as a transportation specialist, will maintain and grow existing accounts and add new accounts in Chicago and its West suburbs.

Rick Wills of Naperville was promoted to managing director at the Naperville financial center of Chicago-based Northern Trust. Wills, who joined Northern Trust in 1994, becomes responsible for strategic direction and growth of the company's business in Naperville and Wheaton. He was most recently responsible for Northern Trust's Global Fund Services business in North America.

Allen Roscoe joined Comcast's greater Chicago region in Schaumburg as manager of leadership development. He leads a team dedicated to cultivating leaders within the company. Roscoe will create professional development training, work to ensure organizational consistency and coach employees at all levels to excel in their careers at Comcast.

Allstate Insurance promoted Alice Byrne to field vice president for its Midwest region. Byrne, who will transfer to the Midwest regional office in Buffalo Grove, most recently served as assistant field vice president for Allstate's North Central region in Farmington Hills, Mich. She replaces Denis Bailey, who becomes field vice president for Allstate's Southwest region based in Phoenix. Byrne is also a member with PM&L Theatre, a nonprofit community-based organization in Antioch, as a performer and choreographer.

Proactive Worldwide Inc. in Rolling Meadows announced Jeffrey Werfel joined the firm as a senior consultant in its technology services practice. Werfel, who previously served as an insurance and financial services provider with State Farm Insurance, also serves as an elected village board member in Grayslake and sits on the board of directors of the Liberty Prairie Conservancy.

Aon Consulting Worldwide promoted Gregory Martens from vice president to senior vice president, key account manager and market leader of its central region. Martens, who is based from the Chicago office, is responsible for managing Aon Consulting's largest clients, overseeing its market strategy, driving sales campaigns and attracting and retaining top talent. He has been with Aon for six years.

Wilson Chow and Pierre Moulinier joined the architecture staff of Loebl Schlossman & Hackl in Chicago. Additionally, Michael Weiner was promoted to associate principal.
