MCC offers real estate seminars

McHenry County College's Continuing Education Department wants to help you learn more about real estate, with its entertaining and educational classes being offered this fall. Two are described below.

Purchasing a Foreclosure Property: This class offers valuable insights into the many benefits of purchasing a foreclosure property. Learn the different types of foreclosure properties, the cash incentives available, how the bidding process works, and how to get started. Whether you are looking to purchase a home to live in or are an investor looking for rental properties, this course is packed with helpful information.

This class will meet from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 16 in Room E117 at MCC. Cost of the class is $29. Use Course ID NFM S01 010 when registering.

Another course section meets from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Nov. 15 in Room E117 at MCC. The cost of this class is also $29. Use Course ID: NFM S01 011 when registering.

Sell Your Home for Top Dollar: In this class, participants will prepare to sell their home and get it sold, either on their own or with an agent. This class gives step-by-step instructions for owners to prepare their home for today's competitive market, determine current home values, advertise successfully and host a successful open house. Required disclosures, the residential real estate contract, and how to handle inspections also will be covered.

This class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 22 in Room B168-169 at MCC. Cost of the class is $19. Use Course ID NHG S30 010 when registering.
