Police looking for suspect in Crystal Lake robberies
Police are looking for a suspect in two separate robberies at Crystal Lake banks -- one on Sept. 29 and another on Friday.
Crystal Lake police received a call at about 5:06 p.m. Friday about a robbery that had just occurred at the LaSalle Bank at 99 N. Hwy.
Witnesses say a male entered the main lobby and handed a teller a note demanding money. The suspect was described as between 5'6" and 5'8" and weighing between 160 and 170 pounds, with short light brown hair and tattoos on both forearms. He was wearing a teal blue short sleeve T-shirt, blue jeans and carrying a dark colored backpack.
Police say he left the scene going westbound on a bicycle, with an undetermined amount of money.
Authorities released a short video of the robbery suspect on Saturday. They between it is the same person who robbed a Citibank at 225 W. Virginia Ave. on Sept. 29. He used the same type of note and left the scene on a bike.
