Symposium to look at mental health
The 2007 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Symposium, "Together We Can Do So Much," will bring together local, state and national leaders to discuss evidence-based practices and current issues related to the mental health of youth and families in our community.
Emphasis will be placed on community of care principles, school-based services, juvenile justice, education and child welfare.
The symposium will be Thursday through Saturday at the Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake. The Saturday conference is designed for parents and youth, with an open invitation to professionals.
Registration fees for the conference are $119 for Thursday and Friday; $69 for Thursday only; and $69 for Friday only. The Saturday conference is free to all who attend.

The McHenry County Family CARE movement is a result of a grant funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration in 2005 and collaborative efforts of several community partners.
