Variety of correction clinics coming up in October
Lyons Township Dog Training Club's next Correction Clinic will begin at 7 p.m. Monday at The Odeum, 1033 Villa Ave., Villa Park. The entry deadline is today. If you haven't registered, call David at (630) 238-9493 to find out if entries are still available.

• Rand Park Dog Training Club's next Correction Clinic is Oct. 6 at For Your Canine, 4233 United Parkway, Schiller Park. Judging starts at 11:30 a.m. with no walk-ins after 1 p.m. The entry for mail-ins is $7 plus $6 for a second entry of the same dog. Send a check payable to the club to Jean Eremo, 2511 N. 79th Ave., Elmwood Park, IL 60606. Gate entry fee is $8 plus $7.
• Lincolnwood Training Club's all-breed outdoor Correctional Clinic will be Oct. 13 on the club grounds at Central and Dearlove roads in Glenview. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and judging at 9 a.m. for both obedience and rally. The pre-entry fee of $6 plus $4 for an additional entry of the same dog, should be sent with entry form to Shirley Stegner, 3412 Linneman St., Glenview, IL 60025. E-mail/gate entry is $7 plus $5. VST Tests: Rand Park Dog Training Club will have Variable Surface Tracking Tests the morning of Oct. 7 at Lincolnshire Corporate Center, Milwaukee Avenue and Knights Bridge Parkway.
• Rand Park's Agility Trials will be on Oct. 13 and 14 at the Sports Zone, 1945 Cornell Ave., Melrose Park.
New classes: Lincolnwood Training Club for German Shepherd Dogs will have new class sessions starting Oct. 7 and 10. • The Chihuahua Club of America will have rally and sweepstakes on Oct. 5 and conformation and junior showmanship on Oct. 6 and 7 in the Marriott Chicago Northwest, 4800 Columbine Blvd., Hoffman Estates.
• Great Lakes Poodle Club of Chicago will have conformation and rally Oct. 6 and obedience Oct. 7 in the Stone City Kennel Club Building on Cedar and Laraway roads in New Lenox.
• The Keeshond Fanciers of the Central States will have conformation and rally Oct. 6 and junior showmanship, obedience and sweepstakes Oct. 7 in the Smack Dabs Training Center, 30W125 Youghall, Warrenville.
