Wheeling Jaycees Lobsterfest: Purchase a $21 ticket from the Wheeling Jaycees and enjoy a lobster, shrimp, steak or chicken dinner at Bob Chinn's Crab House in Wheeling, through the end of September. Lobsterfest tickets are available only through the Jaycees and must be ordered in advance. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Wheeling Jaycees. Be a Peanut Day volunteer: The Streamwood Kiwanis Club is seeking adult and youth group volunteers interested in lending a hand to collect donations on street corners and by storefronts Friday and Saturday for Peanut Days. Each group that participates will earn 40% of what they collect for their own organization. Sponsors are also being sought to help defray the cost of the peanuts.
