Cub Scout meeting: Cub Scout Pack 335 will hold an informational meeting for boys from grades 1-3 and their parents at 7 p.m. Sept. 21 at Gary Memorial Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St., Wheaton. For details, call Chris Boyd at (630) 462-0719.
Glen Ellyn Park District: The Glen Ellyn Park District is holding its annual Fall Flea Market is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Main Street Recreation Center, 501 Hill Ave., Glen Ellyn. Shoppers are admitted free. Tables are available for $11 for senior resident and children, $18 for residents and $27 for others. The rain date is Sept. 29.
• A family experience to view a Galaxy Far Away with the Naperville Astronomical Association is planned for ages 5 and older from 7;30 to 9:45 p.m. Sept. 22 at Ackerman Park in Glen Ellyn. The fee is $4 for residents, $6 for others.
Garage sale: The Meadows of Glen Ellyn Retirement Community will hold its annual garage sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Meadows, 60 N. Nicoll Way, Glen Ellyn. Proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer's Association. For details, call (630) 446-1600.
Band plans: The Wheaton Warrenville South High School Tiger Marching Band will perform at 3 p.m. Sept. 22 at Wheaton North High School Marching Band Festival, 701 W. Thomas Road, Wheaton. The theme honors fallen heroes with "Heroes Fallen, Not Forgotten." For details, call (630) 784-7200.

Parents' time out: Gary United Methodist Preschool will offer a Parents' Morning Out program for children 18 months to 3 years beginning September at the preschool, 224 N. Main St., Wheaton. • September is Library Card Sign-up Month and the library is offering Professor Marvel's Amazing Flea Circus and Magic Show for families on Sept. 22.
• The Centennial Book Club for families of all ages or individuals offers a club to track 100 books or 100 hours of reading time. Families may read together for family rewards or separately for individual awards. The club includes monthly prize drawings and a prize upon completion. Register anytime to Dec. 31.
Preschool: Glen Ellyn Elementary District 89 community preschool is accepting registration for the 2006-07 school year. Limited openings are available for children ages 3 and 4 who live in the District 89 attendance area. The students meet at Arbor View School, 22W430 Ironwood Drive, Glen Ellyn.
