Palatine Jaycees haunted house: The Palatine Jaycees are seeking volunteers to help in the building and haunting of its annual haunted house. This year, the house will be located in the Sears Essentials lot at Northwest Highway and Hicks Road, Palatine. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age or have parent's consent. Party Over Palatine VI: The Rotary Club of Palatine will hold a fundraiser, Party Over Palatine VI, from 6 to 10 p.m. today, at Durty Nellie's, 180 N. Smith St., Palatine. American Society for Quality: The American Society for Quality Northeastern Illinois Section will meet Thursday, at the Arboretum Club, 401 W. Half Day Road, Buffalo Grove.
